About the event

- An opportunity to embrace the resilience and power of femininity using poetry, visual art, discussion and free writing to inspire creative writing in the form of a poem or a song -

Bristol based singer-songwriter, Kitty Stewart will be offering a unique experience exploring a range of techniques to help you find your creative flare.

Prepare for an empowering journey, as you delve into the theme of "Women and Witches" exploring the history of the witch trials in the 1600's to the discrimination of women in the modern day and taking inspiration from creative writers and poets such as Nikita Gill and L.E. Bowman.

A variety of artistic and holistic approaches including visual art, meditation, poetry and free-writing will be incorporated to help you unlock and explore your creativity. Focusing on feeling rather than theory whilst still cultivating the key elements of creative writing, Kitty will be drawing wisdom from her own experience and training to deliver an inspiring and innovative workshop.

___

This workshop is open to adults and older teenagers, from absolute beginners to experienced writers looking to expand their creative writing toolkit.

All you need is pen and paper (or a laptop / smart device to use for writing).

There will be plenty of opportunity to work independently and to share your work if you like but this is my no means mandatory!
